Buildings for the Visegrad Future Workshop

We kindly invite you to explore the best practices, but also barriers to quality renovation and new construction of buildings in the Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) and to seek potential of joint Visegrad efforts in transforming its building stock into energy efficient, healthy, sustainable and climate change-ready infrastructure.

The workshop will be kicked off by presentation of the attached Comparative Study and public policy case studies from V4 countries in areas identified as key drivers of the building’s transformation process:

  • energy certification,
  • innovation,
  • building renovation with reduced EU funding,
  • low-income housing / rental housing development.

We will follow up on these with group discussions to formulate policy recommendations on how the V4 can best join forces to develop and promote policies targeting better buildings and hence health, productivity, well-being and energy security.

See you in Warta Room on Thursday at 14:00 – 16:00!

Workshop Buildings for the Visegrad Future has been supported by an International Visegrad Fund’s grant provided to the consortium formed by four organisations: Šance pro budovy (CZ), Narodowa Agencja Poszanowania Energii S.A. (PL), Magyar Energiahatékonysági Intézet Nonprofit Közhasznú Kft., MEHI (HU) and Budovy pre budúcnosť (SVK) to carry out a larger project titled project „Improving energy security of the Visegrad through better energy efficiency of buildings“.
